Centennial Park has appointed Ms Janet Miller as Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Ms Miller replaces previous Chief Executive Officer Mr Bryan Elliott who has resigned from the position after 12 years of service. She will commence her new role from January 2016.
She has 15 years experience in leadership and people management.
As former Chief Executive Officer of DW Fox Tucker Lawyers and previous Chief Executive Officer of the Perks Group (Financial Services), Ms Miller has extensive experience in operational and financial management, strategic planning and implementation, as well as engaging with a broad range of stakeholder groups.
Ms Miller was CEO at DW Fox Tucker Lawyers from 2009-2015. Prior to this, she was CEO at the Perks Group for six of the 12 years she spent with the company. She was the firm’s first CEO and led the company through a period of significant growth and change.
Ms Miller said she was thrilled to be joining Centennial Park.
“I am very pleased to be given the opportunity to lead the State’s largest cemetery,” she said.
“Centennial Park is renowned for its beautiful gardens, state-of-the-art Jubilee Chapels complex, dedicated war memorial area, and creating a special place where families can pay tribute to the lives of loved ones.
“It is also a highly professional organisation, led by a strong and well-credentialled Board of Management.
“Bryan Elliott has been instrumental in the ongoing growth and future vision of Centennial Park and leaves the organisation in good stead. This means we are well-positioned to embrace any challenges that may lay ahead and to capitalise on any opportunities.
“I look forward to working with Centennial Park’s high-performing Executive Management Team so we can continue to provide important services to the community.”
