Beam Burials
Centennial Park is a beam cemetery, meaning that all monuments are placed on a concrete beam. Centennial Parks standard beam areas are all unwatered and rely on natural rainfall.
These areas are varied and range from non-denominational areas including children’s to religious sections such as Baha’i, Catholic, Druse, Jewish, Lutheran, Muslim and Orthodox
Centennial Park has embarked on a revegetation programme throughout these areas which has provided a more natural habitat to attract native animals and birds. More than 2000 Australian native drought resistant trees and shrubs are progressively being planted along Centennial Park’s boundary areas and corridors. The cemetery is already home to in excess of 30 native bird species as well as koalas, possums, three species of fish, lizards and two Chelonian tortoises.
Burial sites can be pre-paid so if you are thinking of this option, our experienced staff will be pleased to meet with you to discuss this and show you around our grounds.
