Our Story

Since 1936, Centennial Park has been a place of remembrance, connection, and care. As South Australia’s premier cemetery and memorial park, we honour traditions while embracing innovation.

A regional subsidiary established by the City of Mitcham and the City of Unley under the Local Government Act 1999. Our governance is guided by the Regional Subsidiary Charter 2021, and many of our compliance responsibilities align with those of local government.

But we are more than a statutory body. Every day, our team supports families through some of life’s most difficult moments. We work in an environment shaped by grief, love, memory and healing—where compassion and mental wellbeing are at the heart of everything we do.

Centennial Park continues to evolve, ensuring families have meaningful ways to celebrate life and legacy—today and for generations to come.
