Current Vacancies

Board Member

  • Opportunity to contribute to the significant services we provide to the diverse South Australian community
  • Remunerated position on Board of Management

Centennial Park is a vibrant community hub. A place where life is cherished, commemorated, contemplated and celebrated.

As a regional subsidiary established by the City of Mitcham and the Corporation of the City of Unley, under the Local Government Act (SA) 1999, our functions and powers are outlined in our Charter.

Centennial Park is self-funded, operating in an evolving and highly sensitive environment requiring a delicate balance of commerciality and compassion. Governed by an independent skills-based Board of five and managed by a CEO and Executive team – the organisation is supported by a workforce of 60+ staff.

Following the recent retirement of an experienced Board Member, we are seeking a new Director to advance Centennial Park’s strategic vision. This remunerated position will see you making a difference to the Park, our culture and those we serve.

We are seeking an experienced and well-rounded Director with a strong commercial governance background and proven strategic leadership capability, combined with a strong sense of purpose.

Your success will also be underpinned by your:

  • Proven Board experience in relevant or comparable settings, including experience with Board committees
  • Strategic and operational insight, from leading complex or community-facing organisations
  • Familiarity with place-based, government-owned, or relevant service-sector environments

Expertise in people and culture and workplace relations will be viewed favourably. Familiarity with our sector and our legislative context, or relevant adjacent or transferrable sectors and experience leading a board will also be highly regarded.
