Team Leader Customer Service

Centennial Park is South Australia’s premier cemetery and memorial park. A beautifully landscaped natural sanctuary featuring multi-use public spaces for people to explore, take a stroll, where people reflect and reconnect with the things that provide them with meaning in their life.
The Customer Service Team are at the forefront of our unique business. As the first point of contact for our customers, these specialised team members provide a customer centric approach and valuable insight to customer enquiries and tailored experiences. Often the starting point for these customer relationships can be in confronting and emotional circumstances.
Due to internal promotion, we are seeking a focused and effective Team Leader, with people management experience to manage, coach and mentor our dedicated team of busy Customer Service Officers.
Responsible for developing and maintaining sound customer relationships, and contributing to strategies that support business growth, you will be accountable to the Manager Customer Service and Sales in the achievement of KPI and sales targets.
Your specific tasks will include:
- Create positive customer experience by ensuring exceptional sales and service is provided resulting in high customer retention.
- Rostering and planning of team including managing planned and unplanned leave ensuring operations are not compromised.
- Communicate regularly with the team on priorities and progress and empower them to take responsibility for their roles and associated outcomes.
- Carry out call monitoring, coaching and training addressing development areas as required.
- Undertake performance reviews for direct reports within designated deadlines and manage any performance as necessary.
- Support the customer service team by undertaking day to day functions if required including phone calls, administrative functions and customer centric tasks.
- Responding to customer enquiries, including unscheduled in-person visitors in order to promote Centennial Park’s pre-eminent service offering.
- Providing a supportive and empathetic customer experience in undertaking appointments with families and the bereaved to release the Ashes of their loved ones and discuss memorialisation options.
- Lead tours of the grounds to promote positive community engagement and highlight Centennial Park’s pre-eminent service offerings.
- Build and maintain strong positive relationships with all internal and external stakeholders including customers, suppliers and community groups.
- Identify and implement any operational/process/system improvements to the customer service team to deliver an outstanding customer experience.
What you’ll need to be successful:
- Strong leadership and communication skills and the ability to foster collaborative working relationships and high performance.
- Organised, self motivated with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities and achieve timeframes.
- Ability to handle difficult and sensitive situations professionally to achieve successful outcomes.
- Demonstrated experience in a sales and target driven environment.
- Highly developed customer service and relationship building skills, with the ability to liaise and collaborate with a diverse range of customers and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Well developed administrative skills and competency in Windows based systems and the MS Office suit of programs.
- The ability to demonstrate empathy and sensitivity.
- Experience with working in a sensitive customer service industry may be viewed favourably.

Finance Support Officer
Permanent part-time- Busy role in a supportive environment

Our Corporate Services team provides fundamental services to Centennial Park – including finance, payroll and records management, to ensure the organisation operates within best practice requirements.
We are seeking a Finance Support Officer to assist the team with these critical services.
Reporting directly to the Manager Corporate Services, this role will see you supporting the financial administration of the organisation, including processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable and the maintenance of financial files and associated systems.

Your specific tasks will include:
- Implementing and monitoring the financial policies and procedures and ensuring compliance.
- Responding to requests from auditors.
- Contributing to end of month financial process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintaining suppliers and debtor masterfiles.
- Prepare and reconcile all accounts payable transactions.
- Prepare a weekly supplier payment run.
- Contributing to a respectful and collaborative team culture, where diversity of ideas are celebrated.
- Maintaining accurate and complete records in accordance with Centennial Park’s Records Management Policy and other legislative requirements.
- Participating and contributing in cross functional activities across the organisation.
What you’ll need to be successful:
- Relationship building skills, with the ability foster effective relationships with both internal and external customers.
- High organisation skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Demonstrated skills in financial transaction processing.
- Demonstrated ability to identify innovative accounting processes to ensure best practice and continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated skills and behaviours in collaborating with a range of stakeholders, including assisting with projects.
- High level of literacy and numeracy skills, relevant to a finance environment, including data entry and the ability to use multiple digital systems whilst maintaining high levels of accuracy and quality.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated skills and experience with Microsoft platforms and an understanding of finance systems.
