Scotch College Anzac Tribute

Anzac Day is a day that many Australians stop to reflect on the many different meanings of war and commemorate the men and women who have served our nation in wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations.

In dedication to these men and women on Friday 14 April, students from Scotch College will be conducting a short, reflective service at Centennial Park. The public is welcome to attend.

The service, including a minute silence, will be held at the Cross of Remembrance in Derrick Gardens from 10.00am. The students will then place more than 4,500 Australian flags on the memorial headstones of service personnel.

On Anzac Day, Tuesday 25 April, the Centennial Park gates will open at 6.30am, for those who would like to visit at dawn and pay their respects. Wildflowers Café will also open early at 6.30am serving hot drinks, Anzac biscuits, and sweet treats. Normal menus items will be available from 8am – 3.30pm.
