All Souls’ Day Service 2022
All Souls’ Day is a time of prayer and remembrance of family and friends who are no longer with us.
Centennial Park has more than 3,500 loved ones of Catholic faith in our care and we acknowledged this day with a Memorial Service in The Heysen Chapel at our Jubilee Complex.
More than 90 people attended the service which was officiated by Father Dean Marin, from the Archbishop’s Office, Catholic Archdiocese of Adelaide. Father Dean is a long time friend of Centennial Park with many family members resting here. He was supported by beautiful sounds from the piano by David Fitzgerald and soulful soprano singer Teresa La Rocca.
Guests brought in photos of their loved ones, and were provided with a rose for placement on a memorial or to take home. The Service concluded with a blessing of the graves outside The Heysen Chapel.
“Fr Dean was so kind & the singing & accompanying piano was truly wonderful. And thank you also for the gift of a rose for our loved ones graves. A beautiful touch! It means so much to us. It brings us closer to our beautiful family who we miss so much.” Lisa
Thank you to all who attended. Centennial Park is honoured to support our Catholic community and look forward to hosting this service again next year.
