Keeping memories alive at Centennial Park

Has your loved one’s memorial expired and need renewing?

A memorial enables family, friends, and future generations to keep the memories of loved ones alive. They are just as much for the living – a place to remain connected and to remember.

Family or friends have the opportunity to renew an Interment Right and we encourage the Interment Right holder or eligible person to do so – for a limited time or in perpetuity. Perpetuity means that the memorial position will never expire, and the position remains forever.

If an Interment Right has expired, Centennial Park may re-use the position unless the Right is renewed within two (2) years of Centennial Park providing this notice in a statewide printed news publication as required by section 38 of the Burial and Cremation Act 2013 (SA).

Should families choose not to renew a position and wish to claim a headstone, plaque or ashes they must contact Centennial Park as soon as possible.

To start a conversation about renewing an interment right, please call our team during office hours Monday to Friday on 8276 6011 or contact us via email. More information about expired positions can be found here.
